Palmenthal Pioneer Memorial Park
The Palmdale Cemetery is one of the last vestiges of "Palmenthal", the area's original settlement established in 1886, and the humble beginnings of the city of Palmdale. This is the final resting place for several of Palmdale's pioneer families.
On August 5, 2009, the Palmdale City Council renamed the cemetery the Palmenthal Pioneer Memorial Park to honor those who first settled Palmdale and to connect the citizens of today with the pioneers of the past.
