The first Caterpillar D7 rolled out in 1938. US Army Engineers use these dozers to build roadways, earthworks and construct perimeter berms. Armored D7s are used to clear minefields. During the first Gulf War, the USA purchased armor from the Israel Military Industries for their Caterpillar D7 bulldozers.
This Bulldozer was used by the 225th Engineer Group during Operation Desert Storm, August 2, 1990-February 28, 1991.

The Louisiana Maneuvers & Military Museum is located on site.
