Prominente abogado reconocido por los casos de "los 500 acres" en defensa de tierras para los campesinos, quien junto a su esposa, la cayeyana doña Luisa Méndez Vázquez, se asentó en este pueblo al que más tarde le sirvió como alcalde (1924 a 1928). Indiscutible líder que presidió el Colegio de Abogados de Puerto Rico (1934) y ocupó diversos cargos de índole politica como miembro de la Cámara de Delegados, Representante de la Cámara, Produrador General de Puerto Reico y candidato a Comisionado Residente por el Partido Liberal.
Prominent lawyer recognized for the cases of "the 500 acres" in defense of lands for the poor, who along with his wife, Ms. Luisa Méndez Vázquez, from Cayey, settled in this town and later served as mayor (1924 to 1928). This leader who presided over the Puerto Rico Bar Association (1934) and held various political positions as a member of the House of Delegates, House of Representatives, Attorney General of Puerto Rico and candidate for Resident Commissioner for the Liberal Party.
