Location. Memorial has been reported permanently removed. It was located near 35° 57.723′ N, 77° 48.325′ W. Memorial was in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, in Nash County. It was on Falls Road (State Highway 43/48) near Stonewall Drive, on the left when traveling south. Located just north of the Tar River bridge. Touch for map. More about this memorial. On June 29, 2020, the memorial was dismantled and removed from Riverside Park on the east side of Falls Road in Rocky Mount, NC. According to Rocky Mount mayor Sandy Roberson, the monument will be stored in a warehouse and will likely end up on a private property.
Regarding "The Bethel Heroes". The Confederate Monument on the edge of Battle Park was unveiled in 1917 in memory of Nash County soldiers known as "The Bethel Heroes."

2. "The Bethel Heroes"
There were originally four sculptured figures of soldiers placed on this monument, one on each pedestal around the central tower. After repeated vandalism, the city of Rocky Mount removed the figures and stored them in city owned facilities. This occurred before 2000. It would be interesting to see a photo with these figures in place.
