El primer puente sobre el Río Yauco se construyó en el 1862 según diseño del Ing. Timoteo Luberza. Era un puente de madera y mampostería denominado Cristóbal Colón. Entre el 1912 y el 1914 se instlaó un puente que se llamó comúnmente Puente Colorao. El tercer puente sobre el Río Yauco se construyó en el 1992, diseñado estructuralmente por la Firma González-Hidalgo. El diseño arquitectónico fue donado por el arquitecto Jerry Torres Santiago a petición de la comisión pro zona histórica de Yauco.
The first bridge over the Yauco River was built in 1862 according to the design of Engineer Timoteo Luberza. It was made of wood and masonry and called Cristóbal Colón [Christopher Columubus]. Between 1912 and 1914 a bridge was installed that was commonly called Puente Colorao. The third bridge over the Yauco River was built in 1992, structurally designed by the González-Hidalgo Firm. The architectural design was donated by the architect Jerry Torres Santiago at the request of the commission for the historic zone of Yauco.
