1. Bruce Mozert Marker
Inscription. Bruce Mozert worked with Silver Springs and visiting production companies for decades, taking publicity shots of stars such as Johnny Weissmuller, Jane Wyman, Gregory Peck, Ginger Stanley, Jayne Mansfield, and Howard Hughes. Silver Springs had been a film location since 1915 but his pioneering efforts of underwater photography put Silver Springs on the map for year round filming. He filmed and photographed an important part of Silver Springs more recent history from historic movies to beloved places in the community like Paradise Park. For decades Bruce Mozert kept a studio next door to the park and was a big part of the community.

(captions)
Bruce Mozert, who lived to 98, was an American pioneer of underwater photography who captured pin-up models in various kitsch and comical subaquatic scenarios.
