Plaza Colón / Colón Square (Estás aquí)
Originally named as St. James, Patron Saint of Spanish Arms, Plaza Colón was renamed in 1893 honoring Christopher Columbus on the 400th anniversary of the discovery of Puerto Rico. Italian scultor Achille Cannessa created the marble and bronze statue. Over the pedestal, bronze talbes record important episodes of the explorer's life.

Originalmente nombrada como Santiago, Patrono de las Armas Españolas, la Plaza Colón fue renombrada en 1893 en honor a Cristóbal Colón en el 400 aniversario del descubrimiento de Puerto Rico. El escultor italiano Achille Cannessa creó la estatua de mármol y bronce. Sobre el pedestal, talbes de bronce registran episodios importantes de la vida del explorador.
