1. Ewin Lacke House Marker
Inscription. Built in 1854 by Jedidiah Ewin, an early merchant and postmaster. In 1876 the home of Dr. George Lacke. In later years the home of Edward and Carrie Lacke, local pharmacists and owners of Lacke Drug Store.
 
Erected 1978 by Women's Club of Newburgh, Indiana.

Dr. George Lacke earned his medical degree from the University of Berlin (Germany) in 1848. He practiced in Warrick County for 50 years before he died of a cerebral hemorrhage in 1907 at the age of 82. Source: Journal of the American Medical Association, Aug. 24, 1907 issue.
