Excerpt (in translation): The Norwegian Federation of 1948 (DNF-48) was until 1953 a Norwegian subdivision of the Danish Federation of 1948. The organization worked for the interests of homosexuals. The association contributed to the repeal of Section 213 of the Criminal Code in 1972, to the introduction of laws against discrimination against homosexuals and to the introduction of the registered partnership scheme. Another important victory was the abolition of homosexuality as a diagnosis of illness adopted by the Norwegian Psychiatric Association in 1977. Leader and later general secretary Karen-Christine Friele was central to the Association's work. The organization was closed in 1992 when it merged with a number of other organizations for homosexuals and formed the National Association for Lesbian and Homosexual Liberation (LLH), today called «Fri - the association for gender and sexuality diversity».(Submitted on June 30, 2023.)
