Thunder Bay in Thunder Bay District, Ontario — Central Canada (North America)
425 Donald Street East
Designated Heritage Property
This Edwardian-style building was designed by Robert E. Mason, and constructed by Michael Braden in 1910 as a court house and police station combined. The placement of the two pilasters on the façade creates the impression that four columns exist rather than two. The tapered columns are adorned by Roman Corinthian capitals. The building is a good example of the Classical architectural revival, popular in North America at the beginning of the 20th century.
