The Ghost Cat:
Listed on the IUCN Red List as Vulnerable with a decreasing population Current estimates indicate only 3,500-7,000 snow leopards left in the wild.

Threats:
• Poaching for fur and bones to be used in traditional medicine Loss of habitat due to human development and agriculture
• Loss of prey due to increased human hunting
• Human conflict as farmers retaliate for preying on livestock.

Finding The Snow Leopard:
Dark gray fur and dark spots allow Snow leopards to blend in perfectly with the mountains and rocky habitats of their native range. Look hard to spot the snow leopards in their favorite locations… secluded and shady areas.

Shh, please speak softly.
