Inscription.
The roof of this structure was a part of the original Giraffe House built in 1928. The Giraffe House was the home for giraffes and other hoofed animals including American bison, llamas, ponies and several species of deer, camels and zebras. The structure stood until 1984 when it was razed to make room for the African Savanna.

To see giraffes, zebra and other hoof-stock visit the Africa! exhibit on the north side of the Zoo.
