Inscription.  Ambienti della Domus Augustana Affacciati sul Circo Massimo
In questo settore del palazzo si trovano alcuni degli ambienti che affacciavano sul cortile porticato situato -10 metri più in basso- al piano seminterrato, dove erano appartamenti privati ancora oggi accessibili da una scala antica. Vi sono inoltre i resti di una serie di stanze organizzate in maniera simmetrica e dotate della caratteristica rientranza adatta ad ospitare triclini (divani). Ciascuna stanza apriva su un cortile semicircolare abbellito da una fontana e, tramite porte, comunicava con la terrazza panoramica porticata, che chiudeva la facciata del palazzo sul lato rivolto alla valle del Circo Massimo.

In this sector of the palace are some of the rooms overlooking the porticoed courtyard on the underground level 10 metres below, which hosted private apartaments still accessed today by an ancient staircase. There are also the remains of a suite of rooms arranged symmetrically and with the typical recesses for triclinia (couches). Each room opened
