1. Cathedral of the Nativity (B.V.M.) Marker
Inscription. Parent Catholic Parish on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, continuing missions dating back to French Colonial era. First church on this site dedicated 1844. Rebuilt after fire in 1900. Dedicated Cathedral for Diocese of Biloxi 1977. Restored in 1989 after damage by major hurricanes over a twenty-year period.
 
Erected 1997 by Mississippi Department of Archives and History.
