1. Separate and Unequal Marker
Inscription. Until the late 1960s in Tallahassee, laws and customs dictated where African Americans could live, eat, play, attend school, and who they could marry. Defying the color line was dangerous. Nonetheless, many people in our community used nonviolence to fight against injustice and inequality.
 
Erected 2022 by City of Tallahassee and Leon County.
