History and innovation coexist at the Springfield Armory National Historic Site and Springfield Technical Community College (STCC). The armory complex now houses both the historic site and the thriving campus as part of an unusual partnership. The National Park Service and STCC jointly manage the site while ownership is shared by the federal government and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
