The Walk of Honor is a tribute to the dedication and service of first responders who selflessly risk their lives to save the lives of others. Michael Scott Carlo was a FDNY firefighter who died on September 11, 2001 in the line of duty at the World Trade Center. Mrs. Phyllis Carlo of Wanamie, Michael's mother, collaborated with State Representative John Yudichak to establish the Firefighter Michael Carlo Memorial Fund with monies received from the New York Stock Exchange Fallen Heroes Fund. Michael's Fund has helped to construct this Walk of Honor. We will forever honor those who have made the ultimate sacrifice. Below here lies the Time Capsule established at the dedication of the Regional Public Safety Training Center, April 25, 2008. It is to be opened during the 100th anniversary of the College., Dedicated September 11, 2010.
