1. Original cornerstone of the old Leverington Hotel Marker
Inscription. Original cornerstone of the old Leverington Hotel built on the Southeast corner of Ridge and Leverington Avenue by William and Hannah Levering in 1731. It was the first Inn built in this section, which was then one of the 13 original townships of Philadelphia. It once bore the sign of "The Tun"; later was changed to "Wagon and Horses" and still later in 1897, to Leverington Hotel.
 
Erected 1997 by Roxborough Manayunk Wissahickon Historical Society.
