Inscription. Florissant history was her passion from childhood. Gretchen helped save the Myers House from demolition when Highway 170 was built & later became President of Historic Florissant dedicated to preserving the Gettemeier House. She served on the Old Town Commission, Friends of Old St. Ferdinand, Florissant Landmark Commission & St. Louis County Historic Building Commission. She wrote & published "Reflections of the Florissant Valley." She loved her family, traveling & life in Florissant.
