Regarding The Idyllwild Monument. Inspired by the endangered species in the area, Idyllwild Town Monument "Harmony" is a 5 ton, 25 foot tall wooden sculpture erected at Idyllwilds Village Center by artist David Roy. Sculptures of endangered species like the grizzly bear, the California condor, and the mountain lion are featured. It signifies the harmony between nature and the inhabitants of Idyllwild. Four large cedar trees were glued together to create a raw block into which these life-sized native animals were carved. Gorilla Glue features Idyllwilds monument as one of their Tough Stories and as one of the largest projects using their products. The sculpture is owned and maintained by the Art Alliance of Idyllwild in association with the Rotary club.
