Inscription. Eva Mozes Kor survived the Holocaust and the experiments on twins by Nazi Dr. Josef Mengele, and became an international ambassador for hope, healing, forgiveness and inclusiveness. She lived her final 59 years in Terre Haute, Indiana, and led annual trips to Auschwitz to teach and inspire. Winner of the Sachem Award, Indiana's highest honor, Kor stood as a 4-foot-9-inch monument to the power a single person has to improve the world.

Eva's life lessons

Never, ever give up

Prevent prejudice by judging people only on their actions and the content of their character.

Forgive your worst enemy. It will heal your soul and set you free.

Think of one thing you can do to make the world better.
