Capilla Barbazana
⎯⎯⎯
Barbazana Chapel
- S. XIV
Barbazana Kapera
- XIV. Mendea
Barbazana kapera monasterioetako kapitulu-gelaren ohiko lekuan dago. Hala ere, Arnaldo de Barbazan apezpikuaren hilobi-kapera izan zen hasieratik, aretoaren erdiak baitago horren figura etzana, 1355 aldean egina. Hondoko tailu gotikoak, 1355ean eginda, Kontsueloko Ama Birjina irudikatzen du, eta jangelatik ekarri zuten hara. Ganga eta hango eskulturak nabarmenak dira, eta kaperaren azpian kripta gotikoa dago. 1340 aldean, San Pedro eta San Pauloren harrizko tailuak jarri ziren portadaren zangoetan. Beharbada, kapera 1335ean hasi zen eraikitzen.
Barbazana Chapel
- XIVth century
The Barbazana Chapel takes up the traditional monastic place of the Chapterhouse, although from the outset it had the character of a chantry chapel dedicated to Bishop Arnaldo de Barbazán, whose recumbent effigy made around 1355 lies in the centre. On the back wall is the Gothic carving, made in 1355, of the Virgin of Consolation, which was originally in the refectory. The vaulting and sculpture are worthy of note. Under the chapel is the Gothic crypt. The stone sculptures of St. Peter and St. Paul were set up on the door jambs around 1340. The chapel must have been begun in 1335.
Chapelle Barbazana
