1. Lydia: The Ghost of Jamestown Bridge. The legend of Lydia is based on sightings and stories, over the past seventy or more years, of a young woman in white as she stands by the road, attempting to flag down passing motorists for help. The ghost is believed to be that of a young woman who died tragically at the bridge many, many years ago. (Kelly Agan, N.C. Government & Heritage Library via NCPedia, 2019) (Submitted on October 5, 2023, by Duane and Tracy Marsteller of Murfreesboro, Tennessee.)

2. Bridge Haunted By Woman Who Died In Car Crash. Locals say Lydia's Bridge in central North Carolina is haunted by the spirit of a young woman who died in a tragic car crash. Paranormal researchers searched official records for years and now think they may have found the exact woman who died there in 1920.
