Patrick Henry. Orator of the Revolution. Born Hanover County, Virginia in 1736. Member, Virginia House of Burgess 1765 - 1774. Delegate, Continental Congress, 1774. Delegate, first Virginia Convention, 1774 and Second Convention, 1775. First state Governor of Virginia, 1776 - 1779. Member of the Virginia General Assembly, 1790 - 1978. Champion of the Virginia Statue of Religious Freedom and the Bill of Rights. Died and buried at Red Hill, Charlotte County, Virginia - 1799.
