Canada Pacific Railway Station
Architects: Barott, Blackader & Webster
As the terminus for the Canadian Pacific Railway, this site has been an important landmark since the completion of the railway in 1886. This Neo-Classical building built between 1912 and 1914 is the third station on this site. Behind the colonnade of ironic columns is an impressive lobby with panels depicting landscapes seen from trains as they traveled across the country. The building was renovated into offices, shops, and the Seabus terminal in 1978 by Hawthorn, Mansfield, Towers Architects.
