The Centennial Rocket
This replica was constructed through the joint efforts of the Sheet Metal Workers Union, Local 280 (the original builders) and the Vancouver Transportation Club.
Presented to the citizens of Vancouver, this rocket is to commemorate the centennial and celebration of the Expo 86 World's Exposition.
This rocket is a symbol of the role played by craftsmanship and transportation in the growth of Vancouver.
