Ranger Art Savage is shown at his desk in the office. This building served as the Pequot Ranger Sub-district Office until 1956, when a new headquarters was built in Pequot Lakes. If you don't mind the hike, the concrete foundation for the larger warehouse is located about 90 yards down the trail from here.
