Regarding Sharon Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The first burial was that of Silas Alexander, who died on October 27, 1831 at 72 years of age. He is among six Revolutionary War soldiers buried in the graveyard, and was a son of Hezekiah Alexander, a signer of the Mecklenburg Declaration of Independence.
