NASA landed astronauts on the Moon and returned them safely to Earth during the Apollo Program. Moon walkers made the final leg of the journey in the Lunar Module while the Command Module Pilot continued to orbit the Moon in the Command and Service Module.
This full-scale mockup of the Apollo Command Module depicts the small space where the Apollo astronauts lived and worked during their mission.
