Regarding The 43 Group. December, 2023, the Jewish American Society for Historic Preservation, U.K. Branch, together with the Association of Jewish Ex-Servicemen and Women, organised by Martin Sugarman, placed the Ridley Rd. Marker. The Ridley Rd. area was the key area where the hatred, bigotry and racism of the British Neo-Nazi/Fascist movement was confronted by the 43 Group.

The U.K. Guardian - "Konopinski joined the group at the age of 17. By that time, he had lost nine uncles and aunts in the death camps.

we thought we’d killed off in the war,' he said. He became one of the group’s “commandos”, available round the clock to disrupt rallies and confront fascists.

According to Konopinski, 'We Jews, all our lives, have been taught that if anyone spits at you, you walk away – that’s the teaching of the rabbis. But there comes a time when you have to make a stand – and we made a stand. I’m very proud of what we did."

Hatred, bigotry and ignorance can rise over and over when Good Men and Women are not vigilant.

3. The 62 Group.
The 62 Group, originally the 62 Committee, was a militant broad-based coalition of anti-fascists in London, headed by Harry Bidney. Based on the earlier 43 Group, it was formed in 1962 largely in response to the resurgence of fascism in Britain at the time, and particularly Colin Jordan's National Socialist Movement (NSM)...Formal membership was only open to those who were Jewish, but the Group worked with people from other anti-fascist organisations and immigrant communities.

.
Few of the marchers had any historical understanding of the struggle led by British Jews, who fought fascism, racism, hatred, bigotry, and ignorance from the end of WWII into the 1960s that gave them the right to immigrate and live in Hackney.

5. Ridley Road plaque honours The 43 Group’s anti-Fascist triumph.
The 43 Group, dedicated to upholding principles of justice and equality, actively disrupted Mosley’s meetings and rallies, particularly in the Dalston – Ridley Road area of Hackney, a historically Jewish community.

The physical confrontations culminated in the defeat of Mosley and his followers by 1950, marking a significant victory against fascism and anti-Semitism in Britain.
