After Boot Camp training at the Naval Training Center in the Bronx, New York, Glany was assigned to the Naval Training School in Chicago, Illinois, for the 16-week Aircraft Instrumentation program. Upon completion she was transferred to NAS Miami where she inspected and repaired aviation groscopic Instruments until her discharge at the end of the war.
