Inscription. Home of one of the world's largest popcorn producers, Grant County grows nearly 3,000 tons of popcorn annually. Grant County native James Dean was born in Fairmount. The 1950s American film idol had lead roles in "Rebel Without a Cause," "Giant," and "East of Eden."
