The southern seating area and the tribune of the authorities
The seating on the coastal or southern side of the amphitheatre was built on two levels of vaults. Part of the foundations corresponding to the imma, media and first two rows of the summa cavea have been preserved. In the middle was the tribune of the authorities (pulpitum).

The seating was originally covered with ashlars, some of which bore inscriptions and were reused in the Visigothic basilica. The rest of the seating was rebuilt between 1970 and 1973.
