1. La Porta Triumphalis i la inscripció inaugural de l'Amfiteatre Marker
A la media cavea, damunt la Porta Triumphalis, just abans d'arribar a l'arena, hi havia la inscripció monumental que commemorava la construcció de l'Amfiteatre.
Un fragment d'aquesta inscripció va aparèixer reutilitzat en una tomba de la necròpolis visigòtica. Malgrat les poques thetres conservades, sabem que l'edifici va ser finançat per un sacerdot provincial (flamen romae divorum et augustorum) de la primera meitat del segle II.

En la media cavea, encima de la Porta Triumphalls, justo antes de llegar a la arena, se encontraba la inscripción monumental conmemorativa de la construcció del anfiteatro.

The Porta Triumphalis and the inaugural inscription of the Amphitheatre
On the media cavea, above the Porta Triumphalis, just before the arena, there was a monumental inscription commemorating the construction of the amphitheatre.
A fragment of this inscription was found reused in a tomb in the Visigothic necropolis. Although only a few letters have been preserved, we know that the building was financed by a provincial priest (flamen romae divorum et augustorum) in the first half of the 2nd century.

Un fragment de cette inscription est apparu réutilisé sur une tombe de la nécropole wisigothique. Malgré le peu de lettres conservées, nous savons que l'édifice fut francă par un prêtre provincial (flamen romae divorum et augustorum) au cours de la première moitié du le siècle.
