Inscription. Come explore the rockets and spacecraft that helped win the space race. These vehicles were state-of-the-art space exploring machines at the time of the 1964-65 New York World's Fair, which was held on this site. Back then, the Space Age was less than ten years old, Neil Armstrong had not yet set foot on the Moon, and the Space Shuttle was barely a dream.
 
Erected 2004 by New York Hall of Science.
