Provided essential repair of internal combustion engines and insured the readiness
Of ships vital to the success of invasion assaults in the Pacific

On 10 November 1944, five crewmen were Killed in Action by the explosion of the USS Mount Hood

The USS Cebu participated as a support ship for
"Operations Crossroad" - the Atom Bomb tests at Bikini Atoll, July 1946

Awarded One Battle Star for
World War II Service
