Frank Sinatra, Ava Gardner Wed In Ceremony at Philadelphia
Philadelphia, Nov. 7 (IP)—Frank Sinatra and sultry movie beauty beauty Ava Gardner were married tonight and the spindly crooner's first reaction was to grasp Judge Joseph E. Sloane's hand and sigh, "well, we finally made it."

Ava Gardner Sinatra rushed across the room after kissing her bridegroom, and wrapped her arms about Sinatra's mother, who burst into tears and patted the screen siren's shoulder affectionately.

The new Mrs. Sinatra wore an egg-shell tinted wedding gown, cut low in front with a starched shite collar that accented prim box pleats.

Sinatra wore a tuxedo with a black bow tie and a white carnation in his lapel.

Following the simple ceremony performed by Judge Sloane, one of the guests went to the piano in the home of dress manufacturer Lester Sachs and played the wedding march for the smiling couple.

Immediately afterwards, the guests ringed Frankie and Ava and toasted them with champagne. Miss Gardner then applied a gleaming silver knife to a seven-tiered wedding cake frosted in white and topped with a white and green replica of a church bell.

Sinatra's chosen photographer began snapping pictures inside the house, but a battery of news photographers were kept on the front

lawn and newsmen were told they would have to wait a while for a list of the 60-odd guests. It was revealed early, however, that both of Sinatra's parents were present for the marriage.

Miss Gardner's sister, Beatrice, also was on hand.
