Inscription. A member of the U.S. Olympic Teams in 1956 and 1960, she won a gold medal in 1960 on the women's 4 x 100-meter relay team in Rome, Italy. During her professional career as an educator and coach in the Dayton City Schools, she elevated the status of equality in women's athletics
