Wilmer Flory Daylilies. . The Daylily Garden below and the one on the west side of the building contain several cultivars hybridized by Wilmer Flory. Mr. Flory, a Logansport native was a science teacher, horticulturist, city councilman and a founder of the American Hemerocallis (Daylily) Society. In his lifetime he hybridized 31 Daylily cultivars. He received many honors and awards. More information is available in a notebook in the historical society. The gardens and notebook are created and maintained by the Master Gardeners of Cass County, Purdue University Extension Service.
