This 400 lb. Admiralty Anchor was made around 1860-1880
Found in 2016 off Lakeport, MI.
It snapped off in a severe storm, vessel unknown, possibly during the
Great Storm of 1913
It rested for more than 100 years on the bottom of Lake Huron.
Recovery Crew were aboard the Merry Kate:
PC George Beebe, Skipper John Beebe, Diver Brian Leslie,
Lt. Robert Dykstra, and Aaron Okkonen.
It now lies here to honor those that contributed so much.
