More about this memorial. The front of the memorial includes emblems of the U.S. Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force and Coast Guard. The rear includes emblems for the town of Cicero and Cicero's fire and police departments. Five flag poles are in front of the memorial.
This veterans memorial was dedicated around 2011, not long after Cicero opened this new town hall in 2008. The tablet in front of the memorial was dedicated in May 1957, but its previous location could not be verified. However, there was a war memorial in front of Cicero's old town hall (about .4 miles south; the building is still there, as are the remnants of the memorial), and it's quite possible it was originally dedicated there.
