Central Hill Playground
Central Hill Park is Somerville's first and oldest public park. Established in 1870, Central Hill Playground was constructed within the park to serve children and families citywide. Renovated in 2021 with funding from the Community Preservation Act and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts EOEEA PARC Grant Program, the playground integrates reading, learning, and active play under a canopy of evergreen and deciduous trees.
