1. The Chapel Cemetery Marker
Inscription. Established in 1820, this small burial ground is the final resting place of students, staff, faculty, trustees, and their families, of Phillips Academy (1778), the Andover Theological Seminary (1807), and Abbot Academy (1829). Here lie seven Phillips Academy heads of school and Harriet Beecher Stowe, author of Uncle Tom's Cabin.
