Geboren in 1870 in Harlingen, vestigde Branco van Dantzig zich na haar opleiding in 1896 in Rotterdam als lerares spreken en solozang. Haar gehele 40-jarige loopbaan in Rotterdam heeft zij zich voornamelijk gewijd aan kinderen met spraakstoornissen. Van 1914 tot 1936 op het adres 's-Gravendijkwal n° 31. Daarbij heeft zij nationaal en internationaal grote bekendheid verworven. Onder vakgenoten gold zij als "moeder van de nederlandse logopedie”. Vanwege haar joodse achtergrond werd Branco van Dantzig in 1942 door handlangers van het nazi-regime in Auschwitz vermoord.

Born in 1870 in Harlingen, Branco van Dantzig settled in Rotterdam after her education in 1896 as a teacher of speech and singing. She mainly devoted her entire 40-year career in Rotterdam to children with speech disorders. From 1914 to 1936 she lived at the address of 's-Gravendijkwal n° 31. She achieved great national and international fame. Among colleagues she was considered the "mother of Dutch speech therapy". Because of her Jewish background, Branco van Dantzig was murdered in Auschwitz in 1942 by accomplices of the Nazi regime.
