Excerpt (in translation): Branco van Dantzig started her career as a singing teacher. From practice, she started to delve into the theory of voice formation and, relatedly, the combating of speech disorders. Although she was not academically trained, she became an internationally recognized authority in the field of speech therapy as well as phoniatrics (improvement of voice use and speech).(Submitted on March 22, 2024.)
Although she lived in Amsterdam for the last years of her life, she lived and worked in Rotterdam almost all her life. In Rotterdam a square is named after her.
