On October 17th, 2000, Mayor Jimmy Weekley and the entire Key West City Commission voted unanimously to proclaim ONE HUMAN FAMILY the Official Philosophy of Key West. It means we believe all people should receive equal rights, dignity and respect; and lives that are free from prejudice, discrimination, harassment or violence.
Since then, it has also been adopted by Monroe County, Florida, the Conch Republic and loving people all around the world.
