1. Conner Cemetery Marker

Inscription. Established before the Civil War, this cemetery was part of a large plantation owned by Boley J. and Annie Traweek Conner. The earliest burial is that of Burwell Traweek, a veteran of the War of 1812. The cemetery also contains the graves of several Confederate veterans. Governor Martin S. (“Mike”) Conner was a descendant of this family.

Erected 2003 by Mississippi Department of Archives and History.
