Inscription. The Florida Inventors Hall of Fame was founded in 2013 at the University of South Florida by Dr. Paul R. Sanberg, USF Senior Vice President for Research, Innovation & Economic Development and Chair of the FIHF Advisory Board, and Dr. Judy Genshaft, President, USF System. It was recognized by Florida Senate Resolution No. 1756, introduced by Senator Jeff Brandes and adopted by the Florida Senate on April 30, 2014. The first induction ceremony was held September 10. 2014, with medals presented to inductees or their representatives by Margaret A. Focarino, Commissioner for Patents, United States Patent and Trademark Office.
