1. Community Soccer Fields Marker

Inscription.
The community soccer fields were first constructed in 2007 through the hard work of many dedicated individuals and donations from area residents, organizations, businesses, and politicians. The goal of the project was "to have a place to promote the health and fitness of Prestonians." The fields are run and maintained by the Preston County Sports Association. Area soccer clubs use the fields, along with several PCS sports, P.E. classes, and JROTC. The walking path around the fields was constructed in 2008 with money donated by Main Street Kingwood. It is enjoyed by all in the community.

Erected 2023 by Family Engagement, coordinated by Paul Martin, Principal, Central Preston Middle School. (Marker Number 8.)
