1. Mary Lee Clark Thompson Marker
Inscription.
On June 14, 1904, local philanthropist, Mary Lee Clark Thompson officially opened the F.F. Thompson Hospital and gave it to the community in memory of her husband, Frederick Ferris Thompson. This sculpture symbolizes and honors Mrs. Thompson's generous gift.

Mr. Thompson is shown supporting her efforts, while the children hold artistic representations of the Thompson health mascot and of Sonnenberg Gardens, the Thompsons beloved summer home. Although the Thompsons did not have children of their own, their philanthropic contributions often benefited the youth of this community.

"The Gift" was commissioned by Thompson Health in 2004 to celebrate 100 years of caring and to commemorate the momentous contributions Mary Clark Thompson made to the Canandaigua community during her lifetime.
